HOPE, IN (May 26, 2026) – A big weekend is planned in the State of Indiana on May 29 and 30 as the Northern Allstars Late Model Dirt Series Powered by Sunoco Race Fuels will visit the Bloomington Speedway and the Brownstown Speedway for a pair of $10,000 to win feature races.
The race at Bloomington will be the biggest Late Model race in the long and storied history of the Bloomington Speedway that began racing in 1923. The $10,000 to win Don Hobbs Classic the late, Bloomington, Indiana racer who passed away in 2024 at the age of 87. Hobbs was the first driver in the C.J. Rayburn Race Cars House Car in 1978, the first driver of the Dave Dayton Enterprises House Car in 1983 and the MasterSbilt Ind1ana House Car in 1986.
The next night the Northern Allstars Late Model Dirt Series will be joined by the Northern Allstars Modified Dirt Series at Brownstown along with the pure stocks, and hornets.
On the docket will be the 43rd Annual Hoosier Dirt Classic which will pay $10,000 to win. The race has been won by numerous National Dirt Late Model Hall of Famers was first run in 1984 and was won by Jeff Purvis of Clarksville, Tennessee. Don O’Neal of Martinsville, Indiana the all-time winningest driver in Northern Allstars history with 28 victories has won by most Hoosier Dirt Classic events with six total. Josh Rice of Crittenden, Kentucky the three-time Northern Allstars Champion and current Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series O’Reilly Auto Parts Rookie-of-the-Year points leader is the defending winner of the Hoosier Dirt Classic, which was his first ever win at Brownstown.
