BROWNSTOWN, IN (May 30, 2026) – Joseph Joiner of Milton, Florida completed a weekend sweep of the Hoosier State by taking the 43rd Annual Hoosier Dirt Classic on Saturday night, May 30 at the Brownstown Speedway.
Joiner took both Northern Allstars Late Model Dirt Series Powered by Sunoco Race Fuels events at Bloomington Speedway (May 29) and Brownstown (May 30) to become the first repeat winner of the year in the NALMS series.\
Current NALMS points leader Jason Jameson was second with Adam Stricker rounding out the Malvern Bank Podium. Matt Boknecht, who came from the tail after bringing out a caution (on lap 19) finished in fourth followed by Trevor Landrum in fifth. Landrum had led the first 30 laps of the 50-lap main event.
A 4-car breakaway between Landrum, Stricker, Jameson, and Joiner lasted for the first 30 laps of the race with Landrum on the point. Joiner, who started fifth then passed Landrum on the bottom side to take the lead on lap 31.
A caution on lap 43 allowed a 7-lap shootout to the finish between Joiner and Jameson with Jameson using the top side of the race track as he took the lead from Joiner on lap 44. Jameson then led until lap 48 when Joiner passed him on the bottom with two laps to go.
In Sunoco Race Fuels Victory Lane Joiner commented after his win which came in his second-ever appearance at the Jackson County Fairgrounds track.
“I can’t believe it, two nights of this to come up here and do this and get ready for Eldora. I never would have thought we could come up here and get both of these and have as good a weekend we’ve had . We haven’t tore anything up. I mean this is just great.”
