BROWNSTOWN, IN (August 22, 2026) – One night after winning his second career C.J. Rayburn Tribute Race at Circle City Raceway Josh Rice of Crittenden, Kentucky picked up his second Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Powered by Sunoco Race Fuels feature of the weekend at the Brownstown Speedway by winning the 22nd Annual Hall of Classic on Saturday earning $10,000.
It was Rice’s second ever win at Brownstown to go along with his Hoosier Dirt Classic win there one year ago. Rice’s JRR Motorsports teammate and current NALMS points leader Jason Jameson chased Rice down in traffic late in the race was second followed Carson Ferguson who rounded out the Malvern Bank Podium in third. Brenden Smith was fourth followed by the current Brownstown points leader, Matt Boknecht.
Rice, the 3-time and defending NALMS Champion took the lead from fellow Lucas Oil regular Carson Ferguson at the half-way mark and went on to win by 0.487 seconds over Jameson in the caution-free race.
“I can’t thank my guys enough for sticking with it. They’ve been through a lot this year and it’s turned around in a hurry and our record with this car’s been really good,” said the winner. “We are happy to come home for a weekend and pick up 20 grand. That’s awesome. This place, you can’t take anything for granted here. It’s so hard to win here. Everything’s gotta go right.”
