Union, KY (March 21, 2026) – Justin Rattliff of Campbellsville, Kentucky used the bottom of the race track as he marched from his 14th starting spot to take the lead from his teammate Josh Rice with four laps to go as he went on to win his first career Northern Allstars Late Model Dirt Series Powered by Sunoco Race Fuels win on Saturday night at the Florence Speedway.
Rattliff took home $10,000 for his first Super Late Model victory in 10 years as the 2007 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Rookie of the year won before the largest crowd in the 50-year history of the Spring 50.
Mike Marlar, who earned the Todd Steel Buildings Hard Charger of the Race finished in second after starting in 16th. Rod Conley rounded out the Sunoco Race Fuels Podium in third. Rice, who led 44 laps was fourth with Devin Gilpin, who led two laps during the race came home in fifth.
“Man, we had a good race car, that was a heck of a race with Josh (Rice),” said Rattliff in victory lane. “I’ll tell you what, he (Rice) did a good job. The track was just awesome, you could race all over it.”
Rice, who slipped to fourth at the finish after his car’s right rear wheel cover was shoved in by mud, which caused a vibration. The third member of the team, Jason Jameson, failed to complete a lap after pulling into the C&W Sales Hot Pit on the parade lap as a broken A-arm bolt prevented him from rejoining the field.
Rice won a spirited In Memory of John Weber “Dash for Cash” that was upped to $2,500 to win after a back-and-forth battle with Jameson to set the front row of the feature.
The winner’s James Rattliff Racing Longhorn Chassis is powered by a Clements Racing Engine and sponsored by JRR Motor Sales, MGL Auto Sales, MC Tank Transport, Rice Excavating and Plumbing, Glenwood Electric, Chain Locker, Berea Collision Center, Keltner Contracting, CK Trucking, Lonkard Construction, Cheap Chevrolet, Kleinholz Electric, Sunoco Race Fuels, and Jessie Insurance Agency.
