HOPE, IN (May 13, 2025) – The Northern Allstars Late Model Dirt Series Powered by Sunoco Race Fuels will bae in action at two local dirt tracks this weekend. On Friday Night, May 16 the series will visit the Circle City Raceway in Indianapolis for the 4th Annual C.J. Rayburn Tribute Race paying $10,000 to win. A note of interest for Circle City is that there will be FREE spectator parking for Friday Night.
On Saturday Night, May 17 the series will visit the Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg for a $5,000 to win main event. The Northern Allstars Modified Dirt Series will also be competing at Lawrenceburg for a $1,500 to win first place prize.
Rayburn, who died on January 1, 2022, revolutionized the sport of dirt late model racing in the late 1970’s as Rayburn Race Cars set the standard winning thousands of races throughout the United States, as well as Canada and Australia, including 13 World 100s at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway.
In the previous C.J. Rayburn Tribute Races held at Circle City James Rice (2022), Josh Rice (2023) and Ricky Thornton Jr. (2024) have all gone to victory lane.
It will be the fifth-ever visit to the Lawrenceburg Speedway for the Northern Allstars Late Model Series. In the previous four visits winners have been Tyler Erb (2024), Mike Marlar (2007), Greg Johnson (1999), and Steve Casebolt (1999).
Devin Gilpin of Columbus currently leads the NALMS series points standings heading into next weekend. Josh Rice is second in points followed by Billy Green, David Webb, and Dustin Nobbe. Green leads the Arizona Sport Shirts Rookie of the Year Chase over Dustin Shoulders and Derek Groomer.
Colin Green of Walton, Kentucky currently leads the Northern Allstars Modified Dirt Seeries points over J.P. Roberts Jr., Ben Harmon, Nick Snell, and Jordan Wever.
