HOPE, IN (May 6, 2025) – The Northern Allstars Modified Dirt Series Powered by Sunoco Race Fuels will next take to the track on Saturday Night, May 17 at the Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana for a $1,500 to win and $200 to start main event.
In three events so far in 2025 the series has had three different winners as Adam Stricker, Ben Harmon, and Ryan Thomas have all visited the Malvern Bank Victory Lane. The series brought back after a 25-year hiatus by James Essex has averaged 34 cars per race so far this season.
Along with the Northern Allstars Modifieds will be the Northern Allstars Late Model Dirt Series Powered by Sunoco Race Fuels as they will make their first appearance of the season at the ‘Burg. The pro stocks, pro legends, and hornets will also be in action on May 17.
The series has also announced three additions to the 2025 schedule including a $1,500 to win event at the Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, Indiana on Friday Night, May 30 along with the Don Hobbs Classic. The 3rd Annual Dewayne Ragland Memorial on Friday Night, June 27 paying $3,000 to win at the Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio and the 14th Annual Merrill Downey Memorial on July 5 at the Lawrenceburg Speedway have also been added to an ambitious schedule for the remainder of the 2025 season.
The race at Lawrenceburg Speedway ion May 17 will be the first race where the “No Grooving” rule will be enforced for the modifieds. All remaining races on the Northern Allstars Modified schedule for 2025 will also award UMP DIRTcar points.
The tire rule going forward will be:
b. The only tires approved for Northern Allstars/DIRTcar competition are the Hoosier: M-30S and M-60 compounds in the DIRTcar plated tire 26.5/8.0/15 or 27.5/8.0/15. The maximum width of the tire will be 9” inches.
c. The M-60 may be used as a right rear option tire only.
d. Grooving is NOT permitted. You are allowed to grind only. No grooving, no needling, no removal of material from the tire.
e. Siping permitted on M-30 and M-60.
f. Recapping of an approved tire is not permitted.
UMP DirtCar car construction rules set forth for 2025 will be utilized.
Northern Allstars Points and UMP DIRTcar Points will be awarded for this event.
